Race report by Suah
Firstly, we would like to congratulate the event organizer; RCAC has again made this event a success for the Malaysia RC GP category.

This is the first Malaysian Closed race held on July 24/25, 2010 and is considered a big event for all Malaysian racers. The categories were 1/8 on-road and 1/10 Touring at the TiTiwangsa Track located in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Closed race will be held annually by Radio Control Auto Club (RCAC).

The 2-day race was run with IFMAR rules & regulations for engine, bodyshell, nitro percentage, fuel capacity, and weight.

This event attracted all national top drivers, and even the West Malaysia top drivers flew to East Malaysia because of this Malaysian Close Championship. There was a total of about 90 participants, with 65 in 1/10 GP ISTC and 25 in 1/8 GP On-road.

I was pitting for M. Shah during his A-main finals. All top 10 drivers had a very good start. In the beginning the spotlight went to the two leading cars – Azri and Baha – driving less than 1 second apart. Closely following were Abedey, Mizan and M. Shah. After the 2nd refuelling, Baha made a mistake and clipped a curb in an effort to overtake Azri for 1st place; this saw him drop back to 6th place and to make matters worse, Baha was also penalized 10 secs for a pitcrew mistake during refuelling. After 30 minutes the top 5 drivers were all on the same lap:
M. Shah, Azri, Baha, Abedey, and Eric Siow. It is very challenging during that time until the end the A-final.
